Once upon a Village: Walk through the ancient town of Bethlehem alive with animals and townspeople. Winding through the market place you’ll experience the tastes and smells of Bethlehem. Visit with the villagers, but watch out for the Roman soldiers and the tax collectors! They are always watching. Hear from the Inn Keeper whose Inn is full! Follow the path from the Inn to the stable to experience the wonder and splendor of the night Jesus was born.
Kids with a Mission: is our kid-sized gift store! Kids young and old, can choose from a variety of pre-purchased items to fill a stocking for a child or teen in need from the community. The maximum amount to be spent on the stocking is $5. Kids, empty your piggy banks; teens, dig into their jeans pockets! This is a great time and lesson in sharing and giving.
Our Kids with a Mission team will deliver the stuffed stockings to organizations in Lincoln that work with Lincoln area kids and teens. Our partnering organizations are the Lighthouse and Center for People in Need.
Come to the Reign Forest Clearing, in the First Free Children Ministries’ wing after your trip through Bethlehem and celebrate the joy of giving!
After you’ve experienced Bethlehem and Kids with a Mission stop by Solid Grounds, our café, for a cup of hot cocoa, coffee and a cookie before you step back out into the cold. |
